The University of Wyoming soccer team will play New Mexico in Thursday's semifinal of the Mountain West Championship, after the Lobos defeated Colorado College 3-2 on Tuesday in San Jose, California.
New Mexico entered the tournament as the No. 3 seed despite ending the conference season tied with both Wyoming and Boise State with a 7-2-2 Mountain West record. The Lobos fell to the third seed on tiebreakers.
Wyoming is 7-1-2 since beating New Mexico on Sept. 23. Senior Brittney Stark scored the equalizer and Summer Taube scored the game winner in the 84th minute for the Cowgirls.
