University of Wyoming wrestlers Branson Ashworth, Montorie Bridges and Cole Verner were named to the Academic All-Big 12 first team on Thursday.
Bridges, a sophomore, was honored for the second time while Ashworth, a senior, and Verner, a junior from Green River, were honored for the first time.
First-team members consist of those student-athletes who have maintained a 3.20 GPA or better while participating in at least 20 percent of their team's matches.
