Three Cowboys qualify for NCAA Track and Field Championships

After four days of arduous competition, three Wyoming track and field athletes extended their respective seasons by qualifying for the NCAA Track and Field Championships at the NCAA West preliminaries in College Station, Texas.

Senior thrower Daniel Reynolds headlines the group headed to Eugene, Oregon, for the NCAA Championships on June 11-14. Reynolds will compete in both the hammer throw and shot put with an eye on adding a second (and possibly third) national championship to the weight throw title he earned to complete his indoor season in March.

Reynolds required a successful appeal to qualify in shot put after his first attempt during his preliminary heat on Thursday was deemed a foul.
