The Cowgirls take down the Bears in the First Round of the WNIT.

Round one of the Women’s National Invitational Tournament (WNIT) took place on March 21, 2019, at the Arena-Auditorium in Laramie, Wyoming. This is the Cowgirls 10th time being in the WNIT. This is the 8th time under the direction of Joe Legerski. Coming into round 1 the Cowgirls at 14-10. Before coming into the tournament Bailee Cotton a senior was named Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year. The last time the Cowgirls and the Bear meet was March of 2013. The Cowgirls lost that game by 8 (71-63). The Cowgirls thought are leading in the matches as they have won 18 out of 9.
