'Talented' youngsters are spearheading strong season for Wyoming wrestling

Bryce Meredith had not only been around a while, but the Cheyenne native finished his illustrious career as one of the best wrestlers to ever suit up for the University of Wyoming. He was a three-time All-American who twice wrestled for individual national championships, but he exhausted his eligibility with a runner-up finish in the 141-pound final at the NCAA championships back in May.

He wasn’t the only one. Wyoming also lost Archie Colgan, an individual conference champion, off a team that placed fourth at the Big 12 championships — its highest finish since joining the league in 2015 — and had its best finish at the NCAAs under head coach Mark Branch at No.
