LARAMIE — By the 5-minute mark in the third quarter, when Clara Tapia squared up to the basket from behind the arc everyone in the Arena-Auditorium knew what was coming.

Tapia received a firm chest pass from Riikka Kujala without a Chadron State defender near her. She turned her eyes to the hoop and without hesitation she shot. The outcome was inevitable.

The sophomore from Barcelona led Wyoming with 18 points, including 4-of-8 from long range, and seven assists as Wyoming cruised in the second half to a season-opening 74-50 win over Chadron State on Friday night.
