The Club Rugby teams here at the University of Wyoming are well into their season. Rugby Union, the fall session, is a sport that originated in Europe and now is gaining popularity in the United States.
“The season has started off with a lot of strong games with a lot of strong competitors.” President of the Men’s rugby team, Sutton Willis said. “But, the season is developing and making the team better.”
This version of Rugby is played with 15 players on the team, and the goal is to get a try, which is similar to a touchdown in football except it is worth 5 points instead of 6.
