Pokes set personal bests at CU Invite

The Cowboys and Cowgirls track and field teams competed in the CU Invitational this past Saturday in Boulder, Colorado.

Wyoming jumper Scott Carter stole the show with a new outdoor personal record with a long jump of 24 feet, 1.75 inches, which was good enough for a first place finish. Carter also competed in the 110-meter hurdles, placing fourth with a time of 14.50.

“He’s (Carter) getting better and better,” UW head coach Bryan Berryhill. “We could put him in any event and he would love to get out there and compete. He’s the ultimate competitor, and it shows in the results he’s putting out.
