Paul Roberts lifts Cowboys to victory at season-opening Wyoming Invite

Wyoming senior Paul Roberts, the defending individual Mountain West champion, kicked off his final collegiate campaign by winning the Wyoming Invite at Cheyenne's Little America Golf Course on Friday and leading the Cowboys to a first-place team finish with 47 points.

Roberts won the race in 15 minutes, 5.3 seconds, clearing second place by more than seven seconds. Christopher Henry (Laramie) and Harry Ewing both finished in the top 10 as well for the No. 16 Cowboys. Henry came in fourth at 15:19.0 and Ewing finished ninth at 15:25.4. Laramie graduate and Wyoming redshirt freshman Albert Steiner came in 22nd and fellow Laramie graduate Philip Henry was 26th.
