National Football Foundation honors Cowboy academic standouts

For the second year in a row, 10 athletes for Wyoming Cowboys football have been made members of the National Football Foundation’s (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society. This ties the record for honorees in a year from Wyoming, and is the 17th time that at least one Cowboy has achieved membership.

Ayir Asante, Caleb Cooley, Buck Coors, Frank Crum, Cole DeMarzo, Ryan Marquez, Colin O’Brien, Will Pelissier, Treyton Welch, and Wyatt Wieland are this year’s class of honorees for Wyoming.

Per NFF criteria, each athlete “attained a minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.2, was a
senior player who will graduate this spring or summer, fulfilled all NCAA requirements for their
degree, and was a starter or significant contributor throughout the 2023 season.
