The Wyoming men’s golf team concluded the Mountain West Championship on April 23 at the Omni Tucson National – Catalina Course in Tucson, Arizona by shooting 296 (+8) in the third round.
The Pokes finished the tournament with a team score of 872 (+8) to place eighth out of 11 teams.
Senior Ryan Wallen paced the Pokes with a 209 for the tournament, which was good enough to tie for third place. It is the highest ever finish for a UW golfer at the MW Championship.
“First of all, I’m happy for Ryan (Wallen). He played a great tournament,” UW head coach Joe Jensen said.
