The University of Wyoming Cowgirls soccer team got their first win of the 2022 season against Utah State University (USU) on Thursday, September 29.
The game looked like it was going to end in a 1-1 tie, but in the 89th minute of the game, senior Jamie Tatum scored a last-minute goal guiding the Cowgirls to a 2-1 win. Junior Alyssa Bedard scored the team’s first goal.
“I’m so happy we scored on a set piece because, holy cow, we have worked on those so much,” head coach Colleen Corbin said.
“We were very intentional on how we set that corner kick up to what we thought Utah State was going to do defensively.
