Kimmy Burbank's goal in the 88th minute off a free kick from Katie Marcheso gave the Wyoming women's soccer team its first victory of the season with a 1-0 win over Morehead State on Friday in Laramie.
The Cowgirls (1-0-3), who tied their first three matches of the season, were tied 0-0 with Morehead State at halftime and looked headed to a fourth straight draw. But Burbank's first goal of the season was enough to push Wyoming to a win in the Cowgirls' home opener.
Georgia Rowntree made three saves in goal for the shutout win.
The Cowgirls host Drake on Sunday in Laramie.
