The University of Wyoming women's soccer team lost to Kentucky 2-1 in double overtime on Sunday in Lexington, Kentucky. The Cowgirls fell behind in the 27th minute and continued to trail until sophomore midfielder Brooklynn Mooney scored in the 78th minute.
Neither team gained the advantage until Wildcat senior forward Tanya Samarzich beat goalkeeper Georgia Rowntree in the 102nd minute.
The Cowgirls fall to 1-2 with both losses coming in overtime. They tallied a season-high 11 shots against Kentucky, including five on goal.
