Cowgirls place fourth at Mountain West Championship
The University of Wyoming women’s swimming and diving team had seven top-10 finishes Saturday at the Mountain West Championship in San Antonio, Texas, to finish fourth in the team standings.
Sophomore diver Karla Contreras led the way with a second-place finish in the platform. In the pool, junior Isobel Ryan was third in the 100 freestyle, while in the 200 backstroke freshman Monique Rae was fourth, senior Kelly Sheldon was fifth and junior Marcela Gramcko was eighth.
In addition, senior Maria Harutjunjan finished sixth in the 200 breaststroke and freshman Hannah McLean-Leonard was ninth in the 200 butterfly.
