Sophomore forwards Shaina Ashouri and Kaitlyn Lomsnes tallied goals to help the Wyoming women's soccer team defeat Utah State 2-1 at home on Sunday afternoon.
The victory over the Aggies moved Wyoming to 9-5-4 on the season and 5-4-1 in Mountain West action.
“I’m proud of the whole team,” Cowgirl soccer head coach Pete Cuadrado said. “I really thought the effort was great today. I thought our defense played well and it was nice to see us rebound after Utah State put one on the board. With no seniors on the team, it was great to see that maturity to grind out the win.
