Four members of the University of Wyoming women's tennis team were named to the All-Academic Team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Thursday, the University announced.
Milka Genkova, Elisa Koonik, Myiah Scott and Tessa van Der Ploeg were all part of the 4,328 student-athletes awarded as scholar-athletes by the ITA. Koonik and van Der Ploeg had previously earned academic all-conference honors after finishing their junior years with 4.00 GPAs.
Genkova had also been named academic all-conference with a 3.687. Scott finished her impressive freshman year with a 3.571.
All of them will return for the Cowgirls during the 2018-19 academic season after finishing last year with a 12-8 overall record, 3-2 in the Mountain West.
