Cowgirls soccer post season came to an end in a 1-0 loss to Colorado College in San Diego, California at the SDSU Sports Deck Wednesday. The Cowgirls closed out their regular season 10-5-4, and were fourth in the Mountain West standings, making it to the tournament for the third year in a row.
The Cowgirls originally kicked off quarterfinal action against the Tigers, Tuesday night in a not so sunny San Diego. The match was promptly placed on lightning delay following a lightning strike too close to the field. The teams headed back to their respective clubhouses where they remained for another two hours during continuous rain and lightning until the game was postponed for 10 the next morning.
