LARAMIE — The opening week of conference play provided the lift Wyoming and head coach Kaylee Prigge hoped for.
Wyoming (6-7, 2-0 MW) held off defending Mountain West Conference champion Colorado State in a five-set thriller last Thursday night before sweeping aside Air Force on Saturday. It’s the first time the Cowgirls have opened the conference season 2-0 since the delayed 2020 campaign.
“Excited about the start. Ultimately, I think it’s about how many days can we string together playing high-level Wyoming volleyball and I thought we were doing that the weekend prior, we just didn’t get the result we wanted,” UW head coach Kaylee Prigge said.
