The University of Wyoming tennis team dropped just one match in the first day of the Wyoming Invite late Friday.
Four different Cowgirls went 2-0 on the day. Tessa van Der Ploeg, Milka Genkova, Elisa Koonik and Harsha Challa all won both of their matches against opponents from Montana State and Northern Colorado. Sophomore Ana Tkachenko dropped her first match before rebounding with a win.
The team of van Der Ploeg and Koonik also went 2-0 in doubles play. The two are ranked 48th in the Oracle/ITA Division I pairs rankings.
This year's Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships got underway on Saturday in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
