The University of Wyoming women's tennis team saw its season end with a 4-3 loss to top-ranked UNLV in the semifinals of the Mountain West Championship on Saturday in Las Vegas.
The Cowgirls (18-4) led 1-0 after the teams of Dorottya Jonas/Ana Tkachenko and Milka Genkova/Magdalena Stencel won their doubles matches.
Wyoming also got wins from Genkova at No. 4 singles and Elisa Koonik at No. 5 singles to enter the final match tied at 3-all.
In the final match at No. 6 singles, Tkachenko won the first set 7-5 against UNLV's Jovana Kenic, but Kenic then won 6-3, 6-1 to push the Rebels into the finals.
