The Cowboy defense struggled against an effective Weber State Wildcat offense as the Cowboys’ comeback bid would draw just short in a loss to the Big Sky conference favorite.
The Wildcats would open the scoring down low but Akuel Kot would quickly answer for the Cowboys’ first points with a nice drive to the point for two. The Wildcats would answer that with their first three pointer but Sam Griffin would score his first bucket down low as well. Kot would break away on a fast break to score his second bucket and Caden Powell would score down low as the Cowboys jumped out to an early 8-5 lead over the Wildcats.
