Cowboys' Christopher Henry sets school record in 3,000-meter run

University of Wyoming sophomore Christopher Henry set a school record in the 3-000-meter run Saturday at the Colorado Open in Boulder, Colorado.

Henry, a Laramie graduate, finished with a time of 8 minutes, 5.71 seconds to place fifth in the event.

Also for the Cowboys, Bryce Ailshie finished second in the 800 and Reece Shannon was second in the triple jump while Jace Marx (Big Piney) was fourth in the 60-meter dash.

Freshman Aumni Ashby was the Cowgirls' top finisher as she won the triple jump with a leap of 39 feet, 5.25 inches.

Chadron State's Ashton Hallsted, a Natrona County graduate, finished second in the weight throw.
