University of Wyoming cross-country coach Bryan Berryhill calls the incoming freshman class the best one he’s seen in his seven years at the helm of the long-distance Cowboys.
Already through a brief summer of preparations the new additions have shown the promise and work ethic it takes to be successful collegiate runners. But that’s not all the Cowboys have going for them.
If the Cowboys stay healthy, senior runner and Cheyenne native Michael Downey said, this year’s team could be one for the history books. And he’s not the only one that thinks so.
“On the men’s side this is the most talented team we’ve had by far since I’ve been here,” Berryhill said.
