Comeback comes up short as Wyoming falls in Vegas

A second-half comeback by the University of Wyoming soccer team fell short on Sunday as the Cowgirls lost 2-1 to UNLV in Las Vegas, Nev.

The Rebels scored two goals in seven minutes to take a firm lead by the 28th minute. UNLV held that two-goal lead going into halftime.

Senior midfielder Summer Halle headed home the Cowgirls' goal in the 59th minute to spark the offense. It was Halle's second goal of the season and junior forward Jemma House earned her first career assist on the goal.

Senior goalkeeper Georgia Rowntree matched a season high with seven saves in loss.
