After the Cowboys’ 2023 Arizona Bowl victory, Jay Sawvel was officially the new head coach. In the weeks since, he has got straight to work building his new team, starting with the coordinators.
With Sawvel rising from the position of defensive coordinator, he was tasked with finding his replacement. He didn’t have to look far, quickly settling on linebackers coach Aaron Bohl. Aaron, son of Coach Craig Bohl, has spent his whole coaching career with Wyoming, starting as a graduate assistant in 2017. In 2019, he became interim linebackers coach and then spent 2020-2023 as the full time linebackers coach.
