Wyoming volleyball senior Courtney Chacon was named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week for the first time on Monday.
Chacon tallied a season-high 40 assists in the straight-set victory over Utah State on Saturday and was one dig away from her fourth double-double of the season. She also tied a personal season-high with four kills.
She is still currently sixth on the school's all-time assist list after recording her 2,792nd assist. She is on pace to move up the list with 30 or more assists in seven of Wyoming's 16 matches.
Chacon and the Cowgirls (10-6, 3-0) will return to the court on Thursday for a road match at UNLV, scheduled to begin at 7 p.
