The 2025 NCAA championship-winning Wisconsin women’s hockey team came flying out of the gates this season with back-to-back blowout wins against Bemidji State Sept. 25 and 26.
Game one
After netting just one goal in the first period, the No.1 Wisconsin (2-0-0) scored a staggering eight goals in the next twenty minutes of game time. Sophomore Maggie Scannell scored her first career hat trick, as well as a pair coming from both Lacey Eden and Kirsten Simms.
Everyone was in on the carnage, including good performances from freshmen Charlotte Pieckenhagen and Adéla Šapovalivová, who both scored their first points.
