Wisconsin Recruiting: preferred walk-on OL Kerry Kodanko commits to the Badgers

Wisconsin’s walk-on tradition got stronger this week when in-state offensive lineman Kerry Kodanko, De Pere, Wis., committed to the Badgers as a preferred walk-on this Monday.

The six-foot-four-inch 280-pound Kodanko becomes the second Kodanko brother to play for UW. His older sibling, Riki, played for the Badgers from 2010-2012.

He joins Sean Timmis (Marquette University HS) as a walk-on offensive lineman in the 2020 class, joining scholarship linemen Jack Nelson (Stoughton, Wis.), Trey Wedig (Kettle Moraine HS), (St. Charles, Ill.), Tanor Bortolini (Kewaunee, Wis.) and Ben Barten (Stratford, Wis.).

Kodanko held offers from a slew of FCS and Division II programs, including: Air Force (FBS), Illinois State, Western Illinois, Northern Iowa, Eastern Kentucky, North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota State-Mankato (D2).
