After a tough loss earlier in the week at the hands of Michigan, the No. 9 Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team (11-3 overall, 5-2 Big Ten) were back in action Friday evening with a chance to get back on track against Rutgers (7-5 overall, 3-5 Big Ten).
The Badgers entered the game without a win over Rutgers in Piscataway since RU joined the conference, and the Scarlet Knights welcomed back top recruit, 6-foot-11 freshman center Clifford Omoruyi to the rotation after a five game absence. In a big game in the Big Ten, it was Wisconsin who was able to gut out a close win on the road.
