The University of Wisconsin football team was among the first Power 5 programs to get involved with 2027 quarterback Trent Seaborn after Phil Longo identified him early in the recruiting process.
After a breakout season at Thompson High School in Alabama, Seaborn was named the MaxPreps National Freshman of the Year. The 6-foot, 180-pound signal caller joins Trevor Lawrence (2014) and Arch Manning (2019) on the list of notable quarterbacks who have also won the award.
Seaborn was also named All-American First Team by MaxPreps after completing 195-of-271 pass attempts for 2,590 yards and 27 touchdowns, guiding Thompson back to the Class 7A state title game.
