Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin football coaching staff are presumably on the verge of losing a key in-state recruiting battle.
The recruiting battle in question is for four-star offensive tackle Owen Strebig from Catholic Memorial High School. He recently announced a commitment date of February 8th, when Strebig will choose between a group of finalists that includes the Wisconsin Badgers, Notre Dame, USC Miami, and Florida State.
A trio of recruiting insiders from 247Sports have all placed crystal ball predictions with a confidence level of “6” for the 6-foot-8, 300-pound linemen to land with Notre Dame coming off an unofficial visit.
