Wisconsin football: Jonathan Taylor’s Badger days are over, will pursue NFL Draft

Running back U says a bittersweet goodbye to Jonathan Taylor today after he announced his intention to declare for the 2020 NFL draft.

Taylor, once a consensus three-star recruit, began his Badger journey on November 1, 2016 when he committed to Wisconsin. He held his commitment until he signed on February 1, 2017.

Over the late summer of 2017, we began to hear rumblings of a Badger back from New Jersey who couldn’t be stopped in practice.

It turns out not many would stop Taylor.

On September 1, 2017, Jonathan Taylor took nine carries for 87 yards and a touchdown against Utah State in his first opportunity to play college ball.
