On Friday afternoon, the Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team announced that freshman point guard Lorne Bowman (Detroit, Mich.) would be taking a leave of absence from the team to return home and attend to a personal, family matter.
Bowman averaged over 25 points per game, six rebounds and six assists in his senior season and was a back-to-back all-state selection in his junior and senior seasons. He was a member of the strong 2020 recruiting class and is slated to be one of the leaders in the backcourt of the future.
As the statement below explains, Bowman is still enrolled in school and is still a member of the team.
