Madison – The leg injury Robert Wheelwright suffered in Week 8 at Illinois cost the junior wide receiver more than four games.
Wheelwright, a non-factor for most of his first two seasons at Wisconsin, lost all the momentum he had built up in what was developing into by far his best season in college.
"I thought he was just starting to play with some confidence," wide receivers coach Ted Gilmore said, "and expecting to make big plays as opposed to hoping."
Wheelwright, who suffered a broken fibula in his left leg while blocking on a running play, is back at practice and expects to play against USC in the Holiday Bowl on Dec.
