UW coaches plan to give Leon Jacobs work at tailback

Madison — When the Wisconsin coaches decided to move Leon Jacobs from defense to offense, the plan called for the 6-foot-2, 235-pounder to get work at tailback.

But with fullback Austin Ramesh limited this spring because of a groin injury, Jacobs has been splitting time at fullback with Alec Ingold.

"Right now we needed him more at fullback," running backs coach John Settle said Tuesday after UW completed its fourth practice of the spring. "But he will also play tailback.
