Stopping Justin Jackson a priority for UW defense

Madison — Wisconsin safety Michael Caputo hasn't forgotten the beating UW's defense took at the feet of Northwestern tailback Justin Jackson.

"They ran some different schemes than what we were expecting," Caputo said. "They were gashing us. We had guys not getting over blocks, guys not holding gaps. It was a lot of schematic things we need to adjust."

UW never successfully adjusted when the teams met last season, though the loss of starting linebacker Marcus Trotter (hamstring) in the opening quarter didn't help.

Jackson rushed 33 times for 162 yards, an average of 4.
