Down 10-0 to Minnesota in the midst of a snowstorm, the Badgers were in need of a spark on Saturday in the regular-season finale. The inclement weather had stopped the Wisconsin offense in its tracks for most of the first half, and quarterback Carter Smith had just 18 yards passing with just 30 seconds remaining.
Thanks to a 68-yard heave from Hunter Simmons to Vinny Anthony II, Wisconsin got a fresh set of downs all the way down at the Minnesota two-yard line. After getting stuffed three-straight times, the Badgers were left with no choice but to go for it on fourth down.
