The Wisconsin Badgers could be searching for its third defensive coordinator in three seasons, if a report comes to fruition.
Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman first reported on Thursday night that California is “in contract negotiations” with current UW defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox to be its new head coach. Scout.com’s Ryan Gorcey also confirmed the Bears have entered negotiations with the career assistant coach.
The day has been filled with buzz about the current Wisconsin assistant coach moving back to the west coast, with Gorcey noting via Twitter on late Wednesday night that Wilcox was the “lead candidate” to replace Sonny Dykes.
