Report: Wisconsin WR Danny Davis will not have criminal charges filed against him

According to a report by the Wisconsin State Journal’s Ed Treleven on Thursday, criminal charges will not be filed against Wisconsin sophomore wide receiver Danny Davis III stemming from a criminal complaint back in August.

The second-year player was mentioned in the same complaint from an April 22 incident as junior wide receiver Quintez Cephus. Wisconsin then suspended Davis for the first two games of the 2018 season. Cephus faces two felony sexual assault charges and is expected to go to trial proceedings after this past Monday’s preliminary hearing.

As Treleven noted, the complaint declared that Davis took photos of and laughed at one of the two women.
