The University of Wisconsin men’s basketball team (12-9, 5-5 Big Ten) traveled to Iowa City Monday night to take on the No. 18 Iowa Hawkeyes (15-5, 6-3). After a long and gritty classic Big Ten game that was neck and neck throughout, the Badgers ended up falling to the Hawkeyes with a score of 62–68.
The Badgers held a 12 point lead with 7:13 left to play in the game. Despite this, a raucous crowd in Iowa City along with some stingy defense by the Hawkeyes led to offensive struggles by the Badgers. They only managed to convert two total field goals and five total points in the final 7:13 of the game.
