Joe Schobert has been a literal wrecking ball for the Wisconsin Badgers defense so far in 2015, and his strong play has been recognized as he was named a Lott IMPACT Trophy quarterfinalist.

Schobert, a senior linebacker for the Wisconsin Badgers, was named to the 22-person quarterfinalist list last week, and is in the running for the award which is given to a defensive player who, as the organization notes, “represent(s) the qualities embodied by Hall of Famer Ronnie Lott – Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity.
