In the third quarter of the Wisconsin football at Indiana game, Badger running back Gideon Ituka took a hard hit to the head while fighting for extra yardage. After the hit, Ituka stayed down while the training staff rushed to his side. From the moment he went down, we all knew things were serious.
The redshirt freshman, who had been starting for Wisconsin for the past three weeks, remained on the ground for some time as the training staff tended to him. He was eventually stretchered off the field and transported to a local hospital for further examination.
