Former Sun Prairie athlete Walker Jenkins announced via Twitter he plans to transfer from Madison Area Technical College to the University of Virginia for baseball.
The 5-foot-11, 175-pound Jenkins was an infielder for two seasons for MATC, which competed at the recent NJCAA Division II World Series.
