The Nittany Lions move up one spot this week after a win over No. 22 Auburn on Saturday night, their second win of the season over a ranked team. Backed by a raucous White Out crowd in Happy Valley, Penn State’s defense came up with two crucial fourth quarter stops as Auburn was driving to tie the game. Penn State fans have to be encouraged by the play of quarterback Sean Clifford against a legit defense, as the senior had just four incompletions and finished with 280 passing yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
