One quarter of the bowl games this post season will feature a Big Ten football team as 10 of the conference’s 14 teams are headed for an extra game this bowl season.
In addition to depth, the Big Ten landed some big time games. Michigan State represents the conference in the college football playoff and will take on Alabama in the Cotton Bowl, and Iowa will take on the Stanford Cardinal in the Rose Bowl.
In all, the Big Ten conference will play in four of the five New Year’s Day bowl games, with Northwestern, Michigan, Ohio State and Iowa all playing on New Years Day.
