Sophomore Emma Jaskaniec's first-half goal stood up as the host University of Wisconsin women's soccer team edged Illinois 1-0 Thursday in Loves Park, Illinois.
Jaskaniac's second score of the season came off an assist from senior Maia Cella at 14:20.
Senior goalie Jordyn Bloomer needed to make only one save for the Badgers (3-1, 3-1 Big Ten Conference). Sami Sample made two saves for the Fighting Illini (2-2, 2-2).
UW hosts Purdue at Loves Park at 1 p.m. Monday.
