Men’s soccer loses
The UW men played No. 19 Xavier even for a half before Josh Grant and Alex Ridsdale scored second-half goals to lead the Musketeers to a 2-0 non-conference victory at the McClimon Complex.
Grant scored in the first minute of the second half and Ridsdale scored on a penalty kick in the 74th minute as Xavier improved to 2-0-0.
Casey Beyers made two saves for the UW (0-2-0).
“Xavier was an Elite Eight team (in the NCAA tournament) last year and a top-20 program. They returned almost all their players,” UW coach John Trask said.
