Badgers' Olin Hacker earns All-American status at NCAA Championships

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Senior Olin Hacker concluded his eligibility by earning his first All-American honor in leading the University of Wisconsin men's cross country team to an 11th-place finish at the NCAA championships on Saturday.

The Badgers finished 12th in the women's race.

Five men ran personal-best times as UW scored 361 points as the top Big Ten Conference team, recording its 59th top-20 finish. UW has never finished lower than 19th in an NCAA-best 59 national championship appearances.

Hacker, a former Madison West athlete, covered the 10,000-meter course in a personal-best time of 29 minutes, 27.
