The Wisconsin Badgers found a potential starter in the transfer portal along the offensive line earlier this offseason when they landed Central Michigan transfer Davis Heinzen.
A multi-year starter for the Chippewas, Heinzen was brought in after Wisconsin lost starting left tackle Kevin Heywood for the year to a torn ACL. He could come in and compete for the starting left tackle job or potentially kick in to guard if the Badgers feel more comfortable with Joe Brunner on the outside.
When it comes to depth, Wisconsin is intriguingly deep along the offensive line. Currently, they have 17 scholarship linemen, thanks to two straight classes with five freshmen.
